Easter time!

It's been a crazy few months and I promise I'll do a catch up post! It's already April and that means Easter fun!
BB absolutely loves being a bunny rabbit, and she's the cutest one I've ever seen.
The Easter bunny made sure to stop by and left lots if fun treats, including a whole family of balloons! BB loves her balloons, especially tiny "baby balloons" as she calls them.
And who better to accompany a bunny rabbit than a duck!
We spent our Easter morning enjoying some free activities at Southbank, including getting some bunny whiskers!
She's quite the silly little girl.
She loved the sack races, though needed a little assistance to move a bit faster.
But she didn't need any help being super fast as a Super bunny!
She even did great at the egg and spoon race. And she only tried to eat the egg once!
She absolutely loves being with other kids.
And no hot day is complete without a nice dip in the water. BB has become quite the beach baby, a far cry from her initial "the sand is stuck to my feet, oh no!" days.
No Easter is complete without an Easter egg hunt. First stop, rocks!
It took her a while to be willing to stop eating the first chocolate egg she found to look for more. I miss plastic eggs.
Then we got to take a train to an Easter festival. It was quite the festival too, lots of free food and carnival rides and animals and music.
The teacups were a fan favorite.
But the bounce house really set the mood for nap time.
We had an amazing Easter, despite being so far from family. I am so greatful to have our beautiful little family to share these times with.

Bring on the heat (from Dec, forgot to post it!)

Christmas is just around the corner, and I still can't believe it's already that soon. It certainly doesn't feel like it here in Bribane. They have lots of decorations out and Myer puts up a fun display based on a children's book every year, but it's just too hot to be Christmas.
We spend lots of time soaking up the A/C in various stores and BB loves pushing the tiny little shopping trolley.
Apparently when you go to playgroups (and it's probably true if day care as well), Christmas/end of the school year =lots of sweet treats. We had fun frosting some red and green cupcakes, though BB mostly just ate the frosting.
We like to call it sensory learning and gone motor skills, because we all know how hard it is to get those sprinkles onto the cookie.
BB calls it the perfect excuse to get her face and clothes covered in food. But don't let her hands get messy! That'll just freak her out...she's her father's daughter alright.
For being a toddler who enjoys destroying things, BB has been surprisingly good around all of the Christmas decorations.
She helped us decorate our tree without throwing any of the ornaments!
She even helped daddy put the star on the tree.
It's a good little tree. We are very thankful for everyone that has made this Christmas wonderful. We may be far from family and friends, but we've certainly felt their love and generosity.
What would Christmas be without a trip through our local nature center to see the wallabies?!
And of course no Christmas is complete without a bit of water play.
BB is getting more and more adventurous every day. She's climbing up things, hanging off of the jungle gym like a monkey and sliding like a mad woman.
One of her favorite
